I ate it all so quickly I didn't take pictures, but don't let the menu descriptions deter you away from trying this place. It is so good I can't wait to go back!!!

Really fantastic food, only eclipsed by the truly lovely service of Celia. She was kind enough to provide with us with a great tour of the menu and the conscientious attention to the food allergies at our table. Excellent service all around!

Oma's was a win all the way and one of the most unique meals I have had in a while. The menu is super cool, influenced by hawker food of Singapore and Malaysia. Our waiter was awesome. He had a big personality and was so friendly that we felt like we were dining with one of our besties. I couldn't get enough of everything we ate but my favorite was the Salted Egg Yolk Curry Fries. These were insane. They were like In n Out fries on steroids. Be sure to get the char siu burnt ends with it. The Roti Canai was the yummiest, softest, warmest flatbread with a nice slightly salty flavor profile. The parsnip and squash curry to dip it in just warmed our bellies. We also loved the Sambal Terasi Udang and Wonton Mee. The dishes on the menu are all so different that you'll want to try everything, and you should!

We went to Oma's Hideaway as I was craving Malaysian food. The food is a Malaysian, Singaporean, Western Fusion. We ordered: Silk Purse cocktail: I really enjoyed the smoky mezcal flavors with the coconut milk Roti: The roti was great, fresh, very hot, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Salted Egg Yolk Curry Fries: Unique flavor. I really liked these Spicy Katong Laksa: Not your traditional laska. The noodle were a little soggy but I still enjoyed the dish for the bold flavors. Cha Siu Pork Platter: The Chau Siu was sliced very thin and was very tender. The was my partners favorite. Ayam Goreng: Tasty, white sauce was a nice touch. But it was small ( only 1 piece of chicken thigh). Overall, a fun dinner. I would come back.

Oma's Hideaway offers tasty tapas style Malaysian and Singaporean street food (1 plate can comfortably serve 2 people). Possibly the best Roti in the city! Maybe the highlight of the night. Great for date night or a group experience. Knowledgeable staff, outdoor seating, and street parking. Be prepared to $$. Enjoy!

Thank you Oma's Hideaway for coming to the rescue on the eve of 1-13 during the snowstorm that shut down PDX for the weekend. Luckily we braved the elements and got a two-top for dinner at Oma's. We enjoyed slushie shots (DO NOT SKIP THIS), the spicy katong laksa ($22), fall raita salad ($15), a wonton mee ($26), and oma's corn fritters ($12). The portions were small and everything was yum, but the vibes (music) and service (soooo friendly) definitely made the experience. We would love to return and try lunch or brunch.

I went on Tuesday with no reservation and was lucky. I didn't know this place was such a hip spot. The 80s vibes inside were spectacular. I got carried away in conversation but everything we had was delicious. I got the fried chicken and that had a really crunch breading that was truly scrumptious. I covered it with the curry that came to the table. We ordered some pork and that was surprisingly fishy but in a very good way. I can't wait to come back. Our server was so sweet. They keep the menu fresh by rotating some things every month so you aren't bored.

I would go here again just for the vibes and the roti. This place was adorable and such a fun maximalist fever dream. My boyfriend and I went here on New Year's Eve and even on an insane night that's usually packed it had great service and we were able to get a reservation same day which tells me this is an under appreciated GEM. We went here on a friend's recommendation and she did not steer us wrong because this place was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Portland. 10/10.

This is hands-down one of my favorite spots to eat in Portland. I highly recommend that you put in a reservation are seating is limited (though there is seating inside and outside) because this place is known for funky, playful food and fun aesthetics. Just glancing at their menu, I immediately want to try everything-OMAs is known for their entrees influenced by the cuisine of Southeast Asia, and the hawker foods of Singapore and Malaysia. This is a place where you will want to order multiple dishes to share with people so you can get a taste of everything. We ordered the coconut rice, corn fritters, sweet potato dumplings, and roti canai. Many of the dishes are vegetarian friendly so that's an added bonus. The flavor combinations are out of this world! The ambiance is everything, lots of fun wallpaper, fun lighting, and portland inspired art. The staff is wonderful here, very attentive, warm, and friendly.
